- What’s the difference between HST 4000 and HST 4300?

Both devices have an identical menu and outputs. The HST 4000 (40 inches) has a 16:9 aspect-ratio screen and the HST 4300 (43 inches) one of 4:3. The control keys look a bit different but have the same functions. The HST 4300 has additional outputs behind a front panel, the 4000 has the same behind a panel sidewise.
- The TV-keys have no function!

Make sure that the control panel lock isn’t activated. If it is, you can only control the TV by remote control. To deactivate the control panel lock press the “exit” key on the front display of the device for 10 seconds.
- How many channels can I store?

You can store up to 100 channels.
- Has the device a timer function?

Yes, the device has a clock timer to turn it on or off after a set time or to activate a certain channel at a set point in time (on/off timer).
- Is Dolby digital sound possible?

Regrettably the TV has no 5.1 or a digital sound output. However, with virtual surround sound you get a better sound than with stereo, because virtual surround simulates additional back speakers.
- I see coloured shadows on the screen. Is the TV defective?

No, it’s not. Adjust the convergence. You get best results when the TV has already run for 30 minutes and is accordingly warm and you adjust it manually. For further information see pp. 22/23 in the manual.
